Negros Island Coffee Fiesta 2026 Brews Innovation, Culture, and the Future of Philippine Coffee

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — Coffee lovers, farmers, roasters, baristas, and industry leaders will gather in Bacolod City as the Negros Island Coffee Fiesta 2026 opens on August 7 at Ayala Malls Capitol Central, celebrating the rich flavors, innovation, and inspiring stories that continue to shape the future of the Philippine coffee industry.

Running for three days, the annual festival promises an immersive experience where visitors can discover exceptional local coffee varieties, gain insights from industry experts, connect with passionate coffee advocates, and witness how the Negrense community is helping elevate Philippine coffee on the national and global stage.

"Discover new flavors, learn from industry leaders, meet passionate coffee people, and experience how one community is shaping the future of Philippine coffee," organizers said in a social media announcement.

Originally launched in 2024 as the Negros Occidental Coffee Fiesta, the event has since expanded into the Negros Island Coffee Fiesta, reflecting its broader mission of promoting the coffee industry across the island.

The festival is spearheaded by the Negros Occidental Coffee Council and the Philippine Coffee Guild, in partnership with the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the Department of Agriculture (DA), and the Mailum Organic Village Association of Bago City.

More than a showcase of premium coffee, the fiesta celebrates every individual behind each cup—from hardworking coffee farmers and processors to skilled roasters, café owners, baristas, entrepreneurs, and coffee enthusiasts who continue to strengthen the country's growing coffee sector.

Visitors can look forward to coffee tasting sessions, interactive exhibits, educational talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities that highlight innovation, sustainability, and collaboration throughout the coffee value chain.

"Coffee becomes more than a drink. It becomes a story told by farmers, a craft shared by baristas, an opportunity for entrepreneurs, and a celebration for everyone who simply loves a good cup," organizers said.

Adding excitement to the celebration are three major competitions that recognize creativity and craftsmanship in specialty coffee. The Latte Art Throwdown will open the festival on August 7, followed by the Philippine Coffee Brewers League on August 8, and the Signature Beverage Challenge on August 9, where talented coffee professionals will showcase their skills and innovation.

The festival continues to build on the success of last year's event, which attracted more than 4,500 visitors to Ayala Malls Capitol Central. Beyond the impressive turnout, organizers said the gathering fostered valuable collaborations, meaningful conversations, knowledge-sharing, and a deeper appreciation for Philippine-grown coffee.

"This year, we're inviting everyone to become part of the next chapter of our coffee journey," the organizers said.

As the Philippine coffee industry continues to gain momentum, the Negros Island Coffee Fiesta stands as a testament to the passion, resilience, and innovation of local coffee communities—brewing not only world-class coffee but also new opportunities for farmers, entrepreneurs, and consumers alike.
