Calamba City — The economy of the Calabarzon region expanded to PHP3.44 trillion in 2025, up from PHP3.27 trillion in 2024, according to the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

Despite the increase, growth slowed slightly to 5.1 percent from 5.7 percent in the previous year, PSA Regional Director Charito Armonia said during a press briefing.

Manufacturing continued to drive the region’s economy, contributing 1.9 percentage points to overall growth based on constant 2018 prices. Calabarzon remains the country’s leading industrial hub, with the sector accounting for 48.6 percent of total economic output.

The services sector followed with a 47.1 percent share, while agriculture, forestry, and fishing made up 4.3 percent.
